Marching in Memory: Honoring Kargil Heroes through Padyatra
Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will lead a commemorative padyatra in Drass, featuring over 1,000 participants, to mark the 26th anniversary of the Kargil War victory. Joined by Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth and others, the event also includes a wreath-laying ceremony and a plantation drive.

In a significant homage to India's Kargil War heroes, Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya is set to lead a 'padyatra' in Drass, bringing together over 1,000 participants, including youth volunteers and veterans, to celebrate the 26th anniversary of the 1999 victory.
The event, part of the 'Kargil Vijay Diwas' commemorations organized by MY Bharat, will also feature Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth. The padyatra will begin at 7 am from Himabass Public High School and end at Government Higher Secondary School, Bhimbet.
Additionally, the participants, including ministers, will visit the Kargil War Memorial for a wreath-laying ceremony. The day will conclude with a special tribute to fallen soldiers and a plantation drive under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' initiative.
