McDonald's India, under Westlife Foodworld, experienced an overwhelming demand with the release of their new Protein Plus Slice. The innovation resulted in over 32,000 slices sold on the first day across West and South India, highlighting the shift towards healthier choices in fast food.
The Protein Plus Slice, a 100% plant-based and vegetarian product, adds 5 grams of protein per serving. This component allows customers to enhance their favorite burgers without sacrificing taste, marking a significant stride in the QSR industry's approach to nutrition.
Developed in collaboration with CSIR-CFTRI, this product is free of artificial additives, onion, and garlic, catering to diverse dietary preferences. Launched by Hon'ble Minister Shri Yogesh Kadam, the product underscores McDonald's commitment to providing nutritious and innovative menu options.
