Disha Patani Reflects on 'Ek Villain Returns': A Look Back at Her Villain Role

Actor Disha Patani recently revisited her experience working on the 2022 film 'Ek Villain Returns', expressing gratitude towards director Mohit Suri for casting her as Rasika. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Patani shared a behind-the-scenes clip and thanked Suri, adding, "One of the few times we get to play villain." The movie, which also stars John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, and Tara Sutaria, serves as a sequel to the 2014 blockbuster 'Ek Villain', featuring Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor, and Riteish Deshmukh.

Mohit Suri, meanwhile, is celebrating the success of his latest directorial venture, 'Saiyaara'. This new film, starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has become a major box office hit. Renowned film trade analyst Taran Adarsh reported on Twitter that 'Saiyaara' has surpassed Rs 200 crore within its first nine days and is heading towards the Rs 300 crore milestone. The film's second Saturday earnings notably exceeded its first Saturday's, a rare achievement in modern cinema.

'Saiyaara' centers on the journey of a young couple, comprising a singer and a lyricist, as they navigate the realms of love, loss, achievement, and heartbreak. With its significant box office performance, it remains a formidable presence and a testament to Suri's prowess in the film industry.
