Mia Carragher Cast as Katniss in Landmark 'Hunger Games: On Stage' Adaptation

Mia Carragher is making headlines as she steps into the iconic role of Katniss Everdeen in the upcoming theatrical production of 'The Hunger Games: On Stage,' set to premiere on October 20 at the Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre in London.
The announcement was made via the production's Instagram, featuring a headshot of Carragher captioned with excitement: "Meet our girl on fire." A video followed, showcasing Carragher skillfully rehearsing with a crossbow. As reported by Variety, Carragher expressed her enthusiasm, saying, "I'm really excited to play Katniss. I relate to her quite a lot."
Directed by Matthew Dunster, known for '2:22 -- A Ghost Story,' and adapted from Suzanne Collins' first 'Hunger Games' book by award-winning playwright Conor McPherson, this play marks the first live stage version of the beloved series. Carragher, daughter of former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher, graduated from Tring Park School for the Performing Arts and the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.
