A destructive fire swept through a wood factory in the Mandi area, causing damage worth lakhs of rupees. The blaze, possibly sparked by a short circuit, caused significant destruction but fortunately resulted in no injuries.
Starting at the Dream Furniture factory, located in Gali number 1 of Khata Khedi, the fire rapidly escalated in severity. Despite the initial deployment of a lone fire brigade, the intensity of the flames necessitated the dispatch of three additional fire vehicles.
The blaze consumed furniture, raw materials, and wood, with the collapse of the building's tin roof amplifying the risk. Authorities quickly controlled the fire to prevent it from affecting nearby wood carving units, preserving the integrity of Saharanpur's essential export industry.
