The ongoing construction work at the Film and Television Institute (FTI) campus in Jollang-Rakap was reviewed by Union Information and Broadcasting Ministry Joint Secretary K K Nirala on Tuesday, according to an official statement.
Nirala inspected crucial infrastructure elements, such as classroom theatres, library, and dining block, and highlighted the importance of a strong academic environment for the institute to become a center of excellence in film and media education. He instructed stakeholders to work collaboratively to address construction delays and discrepancies in the scope of work and payment schedules.
Key infrastructural needs, including water supply, power, waste management, and transport systems, were stressed for timely completion. Periodic meetings between FTI authorities and district administration have been suggested for effective problem-solving. Accompanied by other officials, Nirala's visit underscores the commitment to enhance the institution's educational capabilities.
