Aves Island: New Frontier for Andaman's Eco-Tourism
The Andaman and Nicobar administration plans to develop five-star resorts across five locations, including Aves Island, for tourism. These projects aim to build eco-friendly infrastructure on a public-private partnership model, offering various amenities and adventures to attract tourists.

The Andaman and Nicobar administration is embarking on a bold initiative to transform its tourism landscape by constructing luxury resorts at five handpicked locations, one of which is the previously inaccessible Aves Island. Known for its stunning natural beauty, Aves will be opened to tourists for the first time.
Aves Island promises a rich array of eco-friendly activities, including scuba diving, fishing, and trekking, making it a potential hotspot. The Andaman & Nicobar Islands Integrated Development Corporation Limited (ANIIDCO) is spearheading the project, which will operate on a public-private partnership model that incorporates design, build, finance, operate, and transfer.
The administration believes these resorts will significantly enhance the appeal of the Andaman Islands as a top-tier travel destination. With millions invested in various locations, the initiative aims to balance world-class amenities with sustainable practices that minimize environmental impact.
