Tragedy at Mansa Devi: Stampede Claims Ninth Victim

A tragic incident unfolded at India's Mansa Devi temple, where a stampede resulted in a rising death toll, now standing at nine. The latest victim succumbed to injuries at AIIMS, Rishikesh.
Phoolmati, aged 55 and a resident of Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, was severely injured in the Sunday stampede. Transferred in critical condition to AIIMS, she remained on ventilator support before passing away, according to District Magistrate Mayur Dixit.
The stampede had originally resulted in eight deaths and injuries to 30 individuals. AIIMS administration informed that five patients remain hospitalized, including Diksha and her daughter Akanksha, both on ventilator support. Another patient has shown improvement and is no longer in critical condition.
