In a commendable move, the Deoghar administration has ensured the safe return of 349 Kanwariyas who got lost during the Shravani Mela. These devotees, separated from their groups after visiting the Baba Temple, were provided with travel arrangements and financial assistance to return home.

Operated by the Central Lost and Found Centre located at R L Sharraf School, the initiative was formalized to assist distressed Kanwariyas who became separated from their families. The center facilitated the issuance of railway passes to streamline the pilgrims' journey back to their respective destinations.

An official statement reported that ₹12,935 was disbursed among these lost pilgrims, while nearly 200,000 Kanwariyas successfully offered holy water at the temple on the 19th day of the festival.
