Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Aam Aadmi Party's national convenor Arvind Kejriwal marked the martyrdom day of freedom fighter Udham Singh with tributes at the Shaheed Udham Singh Memorial in Sunam.
Both leaders recognized Singh's bravery, emphasizing his act of revenge against the Jallianwala Bagh massacre as a testament to his patriotism. Mann highlighted that Singh's courage would continue to inspire the coming generations.
AAP's Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia and state unit chief Aman Arora were also present to honor Singh, who was executed in 1940 for assassinating Michael O'Dwyer, then lieutenant governor of undivided Punjab.
