Himachal Pradesh Revenue, Horticulture, and Tribal Development Minister Jagat Singh Negi met with agricultural representatives on Thursday. During the discussion, the minister addressed key challenges faced by farmers and horticulturists across the state.

Concern was expressed regarding the classification of village lands as forest land, contrary to individual ownership records. Representatives referred to Supreme Court judgments advocating proper demarcation before evictions and requested state support in ongoing legal cases involving farmers.

Minister Negi assured his commitment to safeguarding farmers' interests and vowed to make favourable decisions. A forthcoming meeting, led by the additional chief secretary, aims to delve deeper into these issues with representatives.
