Scheduled for inauguration in the latter half of August, the 'MCA Sharad Pawar Cricket Museum' aims to pay homage to Mumbai's storied cricketing heritage.
The statues of Gavaskar, revered as one of India's most iconic sports figures, and Pawar, a pivotal figure in the administration, will greet visitors. Gavaskar expressed his heartfelt gratitude, stating he felt 'deeply touched and honored' for this recognition by the MCA. He credits the MCA and BCCI for shaping his illustrious cricketing journey.
The museum will showcase an array of rare cricket memorabilia and include an immersive audio-visual experience detailing the rich history of Mumbai cricket. According to MCA president Ajinkya Naik, this tribute serves as a testament to Mumbai's unparalleled cricket legacy and aims to inspire future generations to pursue excellence in the sport.
