Giuffre Family Appeals to Trump: No Clemency for Maxwell

The family of Virginia Giuffre, who accused Jeffrey Epstein of abuse, is strongly urging President Donald Trump not to grant clemency to Ghislaine Maxwell. Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year sentence for aiding Epstein in abusing minors. Giuffre's family described it as 'shocking' when Trump recently suggested Epstein had recruited Giuffre from his club, Mar-a-Lago, where she worked in 2000. This comment raises questions about Trump's awareness of Epstein's actions at the time.

Although Trump has not faced any accusations of wrongdoing, Giuffre alleged she was a victim of Epstein's trafficking from 2000 to 2002. Her family has issued their statement amid calls for Trump to release documents from the federal investigations into Epstein and Maxwell. Trump's former lawyer, Todd Blanche, has met with Maxwell to explore any additional information. Despite Maxwell's lawyer requesting a pardon, Trump maintains he has not considered any action regarding clemency.

A White House official confirmed that no clemency discussions are underway, dismissing contrary claims. The relationship between Trump, Epstein, and Maxwell has come under scrutiny, especially after Trump referred to Epstein as a 'terrific guy' in a 2002 article. Giuffre's family continues to question Trump's awareness of Epstein and Maxwell's criminal activities, as new evidence emerged during Maxwell's 2021 trial linking her to Giuffre's recruitment among Trump's employees.
