South Korean actor Lee Jung-jae, renowned for his Emmy-winning role in Netflix's 'Squid Game', is embarking on a new venture with the romantic comedy series 'Nice to Not Meet You', Variety reports. He stars alongside actress Lim Ji-yeon, marking a significant shift from his previous genre work.

In the series, Lee portrays Lim Hyeon-jun, an actor known for his detective roles who desires more complex dramatic parts. Lim Ji-yeon, acclaimed for her role in 'The Glory', plays Wi Jeong-sin, a political reporter transitioning to entertainment coverage amidst her investigations, according to the outlet.

With direction by Kim Ga-ram, known for 'Good Partner' and 'Nevertheless', and scripts by Jung Yeo-rang of 'Doctor Cha' fame, the series promises a comedic exploration of the entertainment industry's nuances. It will debut as part of Prime Video's expanding Korean original content lineup.

'Nice to Not Meet You' will be distributed globally, with weekly episodes accessible to over 240 countries and territories. However, the release date remains undisclosed. The series joins other notable Prime Video titles, continuing to enrich its diverse offerings.
