On Friday, the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) unveiled a month-long cleanliness initiative, dubbed 'Delhi Ko Kude Se Aazadi,' coinciding with the onset of Independence Day festivities.
The campaign, launched from Shaheed Bhagat Singh Place, Gole Market, seeks to foster cleaner surroundings and civic responsibility under the stewardship of NDMC chairperson Keshav Chandra. Addressing the gathering, Chandra emphasized that the campaign is a tribute to national heroes and a call to fulfill civic duties, aiming to make New Delhi a model capital city.
The initiative will span multiple activities, including sanitation checks, awareness sessions, and digital campaigns, in collaboration with various NDMC sectors. Citizens are urged to participate actively to elevate cleanliness into a matter of national pride and empowerment.
