The Union Information and Broadcasting Ministry has given the nod for an Akashvani studio in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, a move welcomed by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. The approval letter was delivered by I&B Secretary Sanjay Jaju to the Chief Minister.
Chief Minister Yadav expressed gratitude, highlighting the rich art and cultural heritage of the Malwa region. He underscored the significance of broadcasting media in today's information age and noted Ujjain's strategic importance along with Indore in the Malwa region.
The new studio will foster local talent development and extend media reach, especially in rural and tribal areas. Additionally, it will aid in disseminating government schemes effectively. Prasar Bharati approved the proposal promptly, recognizing Ujjain as a vital center for religious spiritual tourism.
