A tragic incident unfolded at the popular picnic site, Aabadi, also known as 'Mini Goa,' when a young man drowned in the fast-flowing Kanhar River. The unfortunate event occurred on Friday when four daughters of Dinanath Tyagi, from Obra, along with a neighbor, were bathing in the river.
The river, normally a place of recreation, suddenly turned treacherous as the water level rose and the current intensified around 5:30 PM. This unexpected surge led to the tragic drowning of Bhanu, 22, who was swept away along with 19-year-old Sneha.
Authorities, led by SHO Vijay Kumar Chaurasia, quickly initiated search operations, successfully recovering Bhanu's body. However, efforts continue to locate Sneha, who remains missing in the powerful currents of the Kanhar River.
