Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand has taken a firm stand on the cultural significance of cows, suggesting that a living cow should have been part of the new Parliament building's inauguration ceremony at Central Vista.
The Shankaracharya, referring to the Sengol sceptre held by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, noted its cow engraving and insisted that a real cow would provide blessings. He proposed bringing cows from across the nation to Parliament.
Additionally, the seer urged the Maharashtra government to establish a protocol for cow feliciation, pressuring political leaders to legislate in favor of cow protection and cater to cow welfare in every assembly constituency.
