A deadly scuffle broke out at Kubreshwar Dham in Madhya Pradesh's Sehore district on Tuesday, leaving two people dead and three others injured. The incident happened when a crowd surged, as devotees assembled for the Kanwar Yatra, police reported.
The tragedy unfolded around noon, during a gathering of devotees at the religious site linked with famous preacher Pandit Pradip Mishra. Although the Kanwar Yatra was scheduled for Wednesday, a significant influx occurred a day earlier, causing overcrowding.
Additional Superintendent of Police Sunita Rawat confirmed the fatalities and stated that efforts to identify the deceased are underway. The injured have been transported to a local hospital for treatment.
