Controversial Rapper Vedan Faces Serious Allegations
Malayalam rapper Vedan, a.k.a. Hirandas Murali, is under scrutiny for allegedly raping a lady doctor multiple times between 2021 and 2023. Currently monitored by Kochi police, Vedan has sought anticipatory bail. His past controversies include a drug case, possession of a leopard tooth, and defamation complaints.

Malayalam rapper Vedan, known as Hirandas Murali, is facing serious allegations of repeatedly raping a lady doctor across various locations in the state from 2021 to 2023. The Kochi police are actively tracking his location but do not currently consider him absconding.
Kochi city police commissioner Putta Vimaladitya informed reporters that Vedan has filed an anticipatory bail plea with the Kerala High Court. Meanwhile, the investigation continues, with witness questioning and evidence collection ongoing.
An FIR under IPC Sections 376 and 376(2)(n) has been registered at Thrikkakara police station based on the doctor's complaint. In addition to this case, Vedan was previously arrested and released on bail in a drug case and for possession of a leopard tooth. He also faces a complaint from a BJP leader for defaming Prime Minister Narendra Modi and promoting caste violence through his music.
