The Madhya Pradesh Human Rights Commission has taken notice following reports of a tragic 'stampede' at Kubereshwar Dham in Sehore, which resulted in the deaths of two women. This incident coincided with a massive turnout for a religious event led by prominent preacher Pandit Pradip Mishra.
The Commission has ordered the Sehore district collector and superintendent of police to conduct a thorough probe into the mishap. The investigation will take into account crowd management strategies employed during the event, medical assistance provided to victims, and any financial aid given to the families of the deceased.
The situation was further aggravated when three additional devotees reportedly passed away the following day due to health complications during a religious yatra. This has raised questions about the safety and management of such large religious gatherings.
