Former Chief Justice of India, D Y Chandrachud, has emphasized the need for lawyers to see themselves as 'facilitators of justice.' Speaking at a law lecture series, Chandrachud highlighted the importance of ethics in the legal profession.
The former CJI advised law students to be lifelong learners and independent thinkers, stressing the absence of shortcuts to success. Addressing future challenges in the law sector, he encouraged students to continuously update their skills.
Chandrachud also advocated for increased female participation in law, recognizing women excelling in technical fields. He stressed the need for better academic resources and financial support for emerging legal professionals.
