Agra witnessed a unique celebration of valor and history on Sunday as Shivchaturya Diwas honored Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's audacious escape from Mughal emperor Aurangzeb's grasp in 1666.
This annual event commemorates Shivaji's legendary journey from Agra to Rajgad, with cyclists retracing his path over the course of the 1,300-kilometre expedition, now in its sixth year.
