In a bid to promote environmental conservation, Latur city in Maharashtra's Marathwada region organized a 'green festival' on Sunday. The event featured a vibrant 'tree rally' that proceeded from Mahatma Gandhi Chowk to Ganjgolai, engaging students, youth, and residents in the march.
Citizens enthusiastically participated by planting saplings, underscoring their commitment to the environment. District Collector Varsha Thakur-Ghuge addressed attendees, encouraging them to embrace sustainability by planting fruit and flowering trees along farm bunds, roadsides, and terraces.
