The National Zoological Park in Delhi is working tirelessly to ensure the survival of four Bengal tiger cubs after the tragic loss of two others from the same litter earlier this month. Measures have been ramped up following the deaths, which saw one cub struggling for milk nourishment.

Zoo officials disclosed that a female cub, weakened after prolonged absence of milk, is being hand-reared with enriched milk formula. The cub's weight has increased healthily since its initial condition, signifying the success of zoo interventions in its care.

Amid these challenges, Delhi Zoo also announced the arrival of two smooth-coated otters from Surat, marking the species' return after more than two decades. The otters, currently in quarantine, are acclimating well to their new surroundings with a steady supply of their dietary needs.
