Artist Tarika Ram is gearing up to present approximately 30 of her artworks at a weeklong exhibition set to launch in the city later this month. The event promises a multi-disciplinary exploration of the theme of happiness, an emotion she has meticulously researched across various fields, according to a press release issued on Tuesday.

The exhibition will showcase Ram's insights and interpretations through diverse art forms, including tapestries and sculptures. Scheduled to start on August 30, Ram expressed her choice of theme by stating, "I chose happiness because everyone wants to be happy, and it is a universal emotion. Yet some people struggle to achieve an optimal state of well-being." Tarika Ram is the daughter of Srivats Ram, the managing director of Chennai-based Wheels India Ltd.

Diana Shatish, Tarika's mentor, explains that they opted to decode this complex topic through the lens of positive psychology. Shatish highlighted, "Tarika has utilized weaving, painting, collage, and natural dyes to infuse emotional depth into her tapestries." This teenager has previously demonstrated her artistic prowess through solo exhibitions in Chennai and has participated in group exhibitions in Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and New York.
