In a passionate display of advocacy for animal rights, activists gathered across the national capital on Tuesday, urging the release of street dogs detained by authorities and calling for a reversal of the Supreme Court's directive to relocate them to shelters.
The protests unfolded under the banner of 'Maha Dev ke bachhe', spanning locations from Malviya Nagar to Mahavir Enclave in Dwarka, and featured a 'freedom rally for dogs' between Gaur City PVR mall in Greater Noida and Noida Extension, as well as at the iconic India Gate.
Protesters passionately voiced slogans and displayed placards, drawing stark comparisons between the justice system for canines and those accused of more serious crimes, bringing attention to what they deemed as inhumane treatment of the animals.
