In a revealing conversation on 'The Church of Tarantino' podcast, acclaimed director Quentin Tarantino shared insights into the scrapping of his much-anticipated 10th film, 'The Movie Critic.' According to Variety, the Oscar-winning filmmaker decided against the project due to its strong resemblance to his prior films, particularly 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.'

Tarantino admitted that the process of recreating Los Angeles of 1969 for his previous film posed substantial challenges, tasks that 'The Movie Critic' did not require. He felt that echoing similar techniques wouldn't bring a fresh perspective. 'It was too much like the last one,' Tarantino said.

During the same interview, Tarantino revealed 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' as his personal favorite, while labeling 'Inglourious Basterds' his 'best' cinematic work. He asserted that 'Kill Bill' remains his most quintessential creation. In other developments, David Fincher will direct 'The Adventures of Cliff Booth,' a sequel to Tarantino's film, debuting exclusively on Netflix, with Brad Pitt reprising his role as Cliff Booth.
