Delhi is gearing up to host the All India Speakers' Conference on August 24-25, an event marking the national capital's first time overseeing such a gathering. The conference will commemorate the centenary of Veer Vitthalbhai Jhaverbhai Patel's election as the first Indian speaker of the Central Legislative Assembly, a pivotal moment in India's parliamentary history.

Senior officials, including representatives from the Public Works Department, inspected the Delhi Assembly premises to ensure the preparations are proceeding as planned. Discussions will center around reinforcing parliamentary democracy, refining legislative practices, and advancing cooperative federalism, with a focus on achieving these through artificial intelligence.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the conference, while Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will conclude the two-day event. The gathering promises to bring together key government figures to underscore the significance of fulfilling parliamentary duties and connecting with public aspirations effectively.
