Justin Baldoni, renowned actor-director of 'It Ends With Us,' finds himself embroiled in fresh legal complications following allegations from actress Isabela Ferrer, who claims she was harassed by Baldoni's efforts to subpoena her in the ongoing Blake Lively case. According to PEOPLE, on August 18, Baldoni's legal representatives submitted a court response describing Ferrer's opposition as an 'inappropriate attack,' maintaining that the core issue was about serving her a subpoena.
The legal conflict traces back to July when the 41-year-old actor issued a subpoena to Ferrer. By August 12, his legal team had filed a motion citing Ferrer's 'unreachable and unresponsive' behavior. Ferrer, 24, countered by accusing Baldoni of employing 'bad faith tactics' and pursuing the motion for 'improper purposes' aimed at harassment. She petitioned the court to reject the subpoena request and consider sanctions. Baldoni's legal team claims their subpoena to Ferrer requested documents she either failed to produce or weren't covered by a subpoena served by Blake Lively in February.
The backdrop of Ferrer's allegations involves Blake Lively's accusations of sexual harassment and retaliation against Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer Studios, claims that Baldoni has adamantly denied. Baldoni's attorneys presented Ferrer's previous messages praising the director for creating a 'comfortable, safe space' on set, while Ferrer's representatives dismissed such texts as merely courteous, typical of a young actress's gratitude after participating in her first major film. The trial regarding Lively's lawsuit is slated for March 2026. (ANI)
