Songs of Paradise: The Untold Legacy of Kashmiri Icon Raj Begum

"Songs of Paradise," a captivating musical drama inspired by the celebrated Kashmiri singer Raj Begum, will premiere on Prime Video on August 29, as announced by the OTT platform on Thursday.

Produced by the collaboration of Excel Entertainment, Apple Tree Pictures, and Renzu Films, the film is directed by Los Angeles-based Danish Renzu. Featuring Saba Azad and Soni Razdan as the lead character Noor Begum in different eras, the movie includes noteworthy performances by Zain Khan Durrani, Sheeba Chaddha, Taaruk Raina, and Lillete Dubey.

This heartwarming narrative, set amidst Kashmir's breathtaking backdrop, reflects Begum's journey from a wedding singer to a renowned voice on Radio Kashmir. Celebrated for her uninhibited and melodious singing, Raj Begum symbolizes freedom and cultural expression in Kashmiri music.
