A Pune court has taken action against the production team of 'Jolly LLB 3', summoning producer Subhash Kapoor and actors Akshay Kumar, mistakenly referred to as Arun Bhatia, and Arshad Warsi. The summons was issued after a petition claimed the film's portrayal of the legal system is derogatory.
The summons, issued by Civil Court judge J G Pawar on August 18, demands answers from Kapoor, 'Arun Bhatia', and Warsi by October 28. The petition, filed by advocate Wajid Khan, seeks to prevent the film's release, claiming its trailer misrepresents lawyers and judges.
Kumar's name error was clarified, with summons delivered to his actual address. The third installment of the 'Jolly LLB' series is scheduled for release in September, pending legal proceedings. An application to rectify his name in the suit is underway.
