A Delhi court has refused a plea seeking an FIR for allegedly offensive artworks by the late M F Husain, reiterating the sufficiency of existing evidence.
Judge Saurabh Partap Singh Laler upheld the magisterial court's prior decision, stating further police investigation was unnecessary. The petition had been filed against this earlier ruling by advocate Amita Sachdeva.
The court noted that evidence, such as CCTV footage and exhibition records, was ample for legal proceedings without complex police involvement, and no substantial allegations necessitated police resources.
