Businessman Raj Kundra has become the focal point of an ongoing investigation into a Rs 60 crore cheating case. Kundra, known for his association with Bollywood, claimed part of the money was paid to actors Bipasha Basu, Neha Dhupia, and producer Ekta Kapoor for professional services, officials report.
This statement was made during Kundra's recent recording before the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Mumbai police. Kundra and his wife, actor Shilpa Shetty, are among the accused in the alleged scam related to their former venture, Best Deal TV Private Limited, an online retail company.
Despite Kundra's assertions, there are currently no plans to summon the Bollywood personalities involved for further questioning. Alongside interviewing witnesses, the EOW is scrutinizing financial records connected to the case, originally sparked by a complaint from businessman Deepak Kothari.
