Chandigarh Hosts 14th All India Air Force Schools Athletics Championship
The 14th edition of the All India Air Force Schools Athletics and Sports Championship is set to take place in Chandigarh. The 14th All India Air Force Schools Athletics and Sports Championship will unfold in Chandigarh from September 24-26, announced officials. This annual sporting event is organized under the aegis of the IAF Educational and Cultural Society, as shared by Air Commodore Nipun Gupta during a press conference.
At the event, Gupta unveiled the overall champion's trophy and introduced the official mascot 'Phoenix', a symbol of resilience and determination. The event aligns with the Khelo Bharat Niti-2025, which promotes 'Sports for Nation Building' by harnessing the power of sports for holistic development.
Participants, representing seven teams from Air Force schools nationwide, will compete in 13 sporting disciplines including track, long jump, and high jump. The championship not only signifies competition but also celebrates discipline, teamwork, and camaraderie, underscoring IAF's commitment to holistic student development alongside academic excellence.
