In honor of Garg, schools, colleges, and several government offices will close, with the more specific Kamrup (Metro) district observing a shutdown. The government is making comprehensive arrangements for a serene farewell, as his cortege proceeds to Kamarkuchi NC village from the sports complex.
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju and other government representatives will join the family on this solemn occasion. Assam Police will honor Garg with a gun salute, and the state has declared dry days to ensure a peaceful event.
