In a dramatic turn of events, customs officials have intensified their efforts to dismantle a luxury car smuggling network, resulting in high-profile raids at the residences of prominent film actors, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Dulquer Salmaan. This large-scale operation, known as Operation Numkoor, was prompted by discoveries of illegal luxury vehicle imports via Bhutan, bypassing tax obligations.
Authorities have launched surprise raids in 30 locations across Kerala, including several spots in Kozhikode. According to sources, these high-end cars were being trafficked by intermediaries from Bhutan and sold without appropriate customs clearance in India.
Despite these legal challenges, Dulquer Salmaan continues to make strides professionally, with his upcoming bilingual film, 'Kaantha', teasing audiences with a narrative surrounding a strained father-son relationship. Simultaneously, Prithviraj Sukumaran is gaining attention for his role in the action-thriller, 'Sarzameen', produced by cinematic stalwarts like Karan Johar and featuring stars such as Kajol and Ibrahim Ali Khan.
