Famed Bengali writer Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay has reported the theft of his tablet from his south Kolkata residence, prompting police to launch an investigation into the matter.
The Sahitya Akademi awardee, who resides in the Jodhpur Park area, filed the report at the Lake Police Station after realizing the device was missing since September 23. The residence, known for receiving frequent visitors, presents a challenging scenario for the investigators.
To crack the case, authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from Mukhopadhyay's residence, encompassing activities from the last seven days, with the intention of identifying the perpetrator responsible for the theft.
