Filmmaker Jason Bateman is set to join forces with Hollywood star Tom Holland for the upcoming Universal film adaptation of John Grisham's legal thriller, "The Partner". The "Ozark" director will also be an executive producer, working with his production company, Aggregate Films, alongside Michael Costigan, as reported by Deadline.
Holland will portray Patrick Lanigan, a young law firm partner who fakes his own death to embezzle a vast sum from a client involved in fraud. His plan for a new life in South America takes a twist when his former client's determination to retrieve the funds leads to an intense pursuit, forcing Lanigan to confront his past.
