Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) chief Kamal Haasan visited the tragic site of a stampede that claimed 41 lives, declaring it a profound tragedy and emphasizing that the organizers must shoulder responsibility. Haasan stressed the need for an apology and acknowledgement of mistakes to prevent future occurrences.
In discussions with officials, Haasan, who is also a Rajya Sabha MP, reached out to the victims of the September 27 stampede at the rally of actor and TVK founder Vijay. He called for a collective acceptance of responsibility from everyone involved.
Addressing reporters, Haasan criticized attempts to deflect blame, underlining the imperative for organizers to accept their role in the incident. "It has gone wrong, it is time to apologize, it is time to accept the mistake," he stated firmly.
