This arrest marks the fifth in the case following the earlier apprehensions of North East India Festival chief organizer Shyamkanu Mahanta, the singer's manager Siddharth Sharma, and two band members. Sandipan Garg had reportedly been present with his cousin during the unfortunate incident.
Investigations are ongoing, with the police seeking further custody of the DSP to continue inquiries. Zubeen Garg's tragic passing occurred while he was in Singapore for the 4th North East India Festival, raising further scrutiny over the circumstances surrounding his death.
