In a bid to bolster the international standing of Indian brands, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta underscored their significance at the India Mobile Congress 2025. Her remarks came as part of the ninth edition of the event held at the Yashobhoomi convention centre.
Gupta connected this initiative to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'swadeshi' vision, advocating for the integration of Indian contributions into technologies propelling the nation forward. She stated that 'Vocal for Local' not only targets small businesses but also extends to crucial sectors such as defence, technology, healthcare, and education.
The ultimate goal, according to Gupta, is for India to not only fulfill its domestic needs but also be a reliable supplier globally. By establishing the reliability of Indian brands, the hope is that these brands will gain worldwide recognition and use.
