Sonia Gandhi unveiled a statue of Virbhadra Singh, a six-time Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, in Shimla. The bronze statue is situated in Daulat Singh Park, Ridge Ground. Many prominent leaders attended the event organized by Singh's son Vikramaditya Singh, enhancing heightened security measures in the city.

Senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi on Monday unveiled a striking bronze statue of six-time Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh at the historic Ridge Ground in Shimla. The event saw a substantial turnout, with floral tributes paid by Gandhi and her daughter, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
The imposing six-foot-tall statue stands among other notable figures such as Mahatma Gandhi, as well as former prime ministers Indira Gandhi and Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Created by renowned sculptor Ram V Sutar's company for Rs 40 lakh, it adds a significant landmark to the city.
Organized by Singh's son Vikramaditya, the event marked a homage to Singh's four-decade-long public service career. A notable police presence ensured security, with 400 personnel deployed and restricted vehicle movement within Shimla to accommodate the large gathering.
