Rishikesh Police have detained a man named Rasik Maharaj on charges of digital fraud using artificial intelligence. He is accused of fabricating a photograph showing him alongside Vice President CP Radhakrishnan.

The misleading image was circulated on Facebook and news platforms to showcase supposed high-level connections.

The forgery was linked to an April 23 AIIMS Rishikesh event where Maharaj was not officially listed as a guest. A legal case has been initiated under the IT Act and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, according to Inspector Kailash Chandra Bhatt.
