Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary announced on Saturday that the construction of Maa Janaki Temple will be completed by December 31, 2028. This was one of the initial cabinet decisions under his leadership, following in the footsteps of former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
The declaration was made during Choudhary's visit to Punaura Dham in Sitamarhi, the birthplace of Ramayana's Sita, on the occasion of Janaki Navami. Addressing a gathering, Choudhary emphasized the significance of completing the temple and Sitapuram township, a project announced by Kumar's government.
Choudhary expressed his pride in visiting Sitamarhi on Janaki Navami, stressing the government's commitment to regional development, including the Ram-Janki path National Highway, which aims to connect Ayodhya to Janakpur.
