Honoring Excellence: Jadavpur University's Distinguished Alumni JU Award

Jadavpur University has announced the introduction of the 'Distinguished Alumni JU Award' to recognize its alumni who have significantly contributed to fields of national and global relevance. Vice Chancellor Chiranjib Bhattacharya revealed that the university's Executive Council made the decision earlier this month.

The awards will be presented in five categories: academia and research, corporate leadership, entrepreneurship, public life and philanthropy, and arts, literature and creative expression. According to Bhattacharya, these prestigious accolades aim to acknowledge remarkable achievements and inspire current students by celebrating the diverse accomplishments of the university's graduates.

The selection process, overseen by a distinguished committee, will be transparent and credible, ensuring that awardees exhibit consistent excellence in their respective fields. The inaugural ceremony will take place during the university's upcoming convocation, with the initiative also aiming to strengthen long-term connections with alumni globally.
