A heroic act unfolded at Someshwara Beach, where a 16-year-old saved a young boy from drowning. On Saturday evening, Muhammad Ismail Faiz courageously dived into the sea to rescue his 10-year-old relative, Muhammad Arshaman, who was caught in a strong current.

Faiz battled the fierce waves for around ten minutes, eventually securing Arshaman's safety. Despite the exhausting ordeal leaving Faiz unconscious briefly, he was soon admitted to a private hospital and is now in recovery. Arshaman, too, is out of danger, according to police reports.

Interestingly, Faiz had recently passed his SSLC examination with distinction and earned a second-place in a state-level karate competition. His quick thinking and training in swimming likely aided him in this lifesaving endeavor. Local swimmers also contributed to the rescue once alerted.
