Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker U T Khader took to the dirt track on Sunday, where he finished fourth in a racing event organized by the Indian Motor Sports Club.

Behind the wheel of a Volkswagen Polo GT, Khader came tantalizingly close to a podium finish, narrowly missing the third spot by just seconds.

An avid motorsport enthusiast since his college days, Khader said after the event that he finds racing a refreshing break from his official duties. The Dirt Prix event, featuring multiple racers, focused on promoting grassroots motorsport.
