Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has reaffirmed that the enduring path to global peace lies in adhering to the teachings of Gautam Buddha. Speaking at a celebration in Kushinagar for Buddha Purnima, Maurya highlighted India's role in sharing the message of 'Buddha, not war' amid worldwide turmoil.
Highlighting the critical need for peace and non-violence today, Maurya emphasized that India's leadership under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has driven significant development at prominent Buddhist centers like Kushinagar, Sravasti, Sarnath, and Kaushambi. This development reflects India's spiritual heritage and international respect for Buddha's teachings.
Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak also underscored that victory cannot be achieved through war, advocating instead for Buddha's teachings. He reiterated the state's dedication to enhancing sites linked to both Buddha and B R Ambedkar, urging public support for their continued development.
