The convergence also shed light on the evolving India-Jamaica relationship, strengthened by shared history and cultural ties. With a diaspora of around 70,000, Indian-origin individuals continue to serve as a cultural bridge, enriching bilateral bonds.
Jaishankar's visit marks a strategic move to fortify ties with Caribbean nations, engaging with leaders across Jamaica, Suriname, and Trinidad and Tobago. The Indian community in Jamaica roots back to indentured laborers from the 19th century, now celebrated as a vital link between the countries.
